  • About to send Docs to the NVC. What to expect next? Advice.

I'm an Indian citizen and my husband is a LPR living in the US. He filed my petition under F2A category in April 2015 and my PD is 17 April 2015. My case was approved on 22 Dec 2015. I received my Welcome letter on 20 January 2016. Paid my AOS and IV fees on 5 Feb 2016. Confirmed DS-260 on 17 Feb 2016. Will send the Docs to the NVC in the next 15 days. What should I expect next? And what role does the PD play in all this? Please advice. Thank you.

Send your AOS and supporting documents as soon as possible. After receiving your documents NVC will reply an email to wait at least 30 days. Then they will inform you what to do next. If all documents are correct, they will schedule an interview when your priority dare is current. Best of luck.

Thank you. My agent and a lawyer said that PD doesn't matter. Is that true? Also, I have a family member with same case as mine and he said the same thing. What us your opinion?
