Is there any possibility of gaining Green Card pre-marriage
Hello.
Firstly, I apologise if I am posting in the wrong forum, or if I have a missed a thread with the same issue.
I have been informed by some friends that some countries allow people to migrate to a country if they can show that they are in a real relationship with a citizen of that country (i.e. prior to marriage). Does any such rule occur for migration to the US?
I will elaborate a bit more on my situation.
I am a British citizen, currently carrying out postgraduate studies in South Africa (since 2014). I met my American girlfriend here, and we have made plans to spend our lives together, though we are not yet engaged. I have visited her and her family twice in America (once at the start of 2015, then again over Christmas 2015-2016), whilst she has also travelled to the UK with me to meet my family (July/August 2015).
I would like to know what options are available to me.
