green card to miner

i m under 21 but on august 28 i'll be of 21 year old... So my question is... My mother is a US green card holder if she fill petition for me before august 28-2016( before i'll 21 year old) do i have to wait only for 2 years or i have to wait for more than 2 years... Please kindly reply me.
PS:- on august28-2016 i,ll be 21 but now i am under 21... If petition is filled before august 28 how much time i have to wait to get my visa
