  • Sibling visa help

Dear forum members, I am new here and need your help very much. Please do not judge if I use incorrect names of authorities and etc. because I lost any hope regarding this due to a very long waiting period. 12 years ago my sister (U.S. citizen) applied for a sibling permanent visa (green card), 5 years ago I got an approval from Immigration department and a notice that my visa had been sent to the National Visa Center for further proceed. Couple of months I got a letter from the NVC stating about my further steps for getting the visa (document checklist and other). So much time was passed, my sister currently lives in another country, visiting US 1-2 times a year, got married and does not work at the moment.. I realize that both of us shall inform NVC about the status changes. Please help me understand, will the fact of my sister's absence affect negatively on my visa decision while visa process? And what I should do next? I have no idea what to do now. They asked so much documents, I barely understand what each of those mean (for example, affidavit of support?).
