I think this is rather unusual that USCIS would ask a petitioner to come for biometrics who has filed I-130 for sibling. I already had biometrics taken before I became a naturalized US citizen.
I was under the impression that after several years (many years rather) I or my sibling would get a notification regarding my sibling's I-130 application. I filed my sibling's I-130 about three years ago. From what I understand the waiting period is pretty long, more than a decade.
If a petitioner has a criminal record, can I-130 application be denied?
Can anyone please tell me more.
thank you
