  • Concurrent filing I-130 and I-485 and choosing USCIS office

    Hi all, first post here,

My wife (USC) and I are concurrently applying for I-130 and I-485 and therefore have to send the package to the Chicago office.

In the I-130 form, part C, question 22 it says: Your relative is in the US and will apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident at the USCIS office in: _______.

Here should I be choosing the Chicago office, or the office closest to our home? I assume it's the latter, but I am confused because ultimately, the application is being sent to the Chicago office.

Thanks a lot guys, this forum has been most helpful.

Use the name of the city closest to you where there is a USCIS office.
