Dear all
I have finally been granted a Green Card as an unmarried son over 21. The petitioner is my father who lives in the north-west.
I am getting married in August.
My plan is to fly to the States in late June and receive the temporary stamp, then stay for a week and return to the UK. My father will receive my Green Card in the mail and bring it back to the UK and give it to me at my wedding.
Then I will next go out in December (making sure to be under 6 months from entry date), preparing to move to the USA in 2017.
My question is: do I need to do anything else in the USA when I fly out in June? I am assuming not.
Also, do I have to fly to the north west (where my petitioner lives), or can I simply fly to New York to get the stamp?
Is there anything wrong with my plan?
