Hello, Question I-130 for spouse

Hello, i am married to my wife in cuba i am a permanent resident, i will be filling the form I-130 for her next week so i can be able to bring her to the U.S with me, i am also in the process of becoming a US Citizen which i filled my application one week ago. Now my question is if i start filling her the I-130 as a permanent resident won't it be faster so the process can start running, and later on when i become a US Citizen i just notify USCIS and i upgrade so then they will treat our case as a citizen? and she be here with me faster?

Also can you guys please explain me how this process works? and what documents i will be needing from my wife and myself?
