  • Entering the country

    Hi,

It is my understanding that the primary applicant has to enter the states before or at the same time as family members with visas when travelling to the country. I am in a little complicated situation due to an unexpected military event, and therefore I am more than certain that I cannot enter the country at the same time as my primary applicant which is my husband. My question is: How far in advance can he enter the country?

    Thank you in advance.

The primary beneficiary must enter before derivative beneficiaries.

As a derivative beneficiary, you can enter at any time after the primary beneficiary as long as your visa is valid.
