    Hi,

I have a question. My mom is a widow and nobody is there to look after her. I am a green card holder but can not stay in US till 3 years because my mom is alone in other country. Please let me know if there is any Humanitarian Law in USA for these type of situations. I am ready to hire a lawyer as well..

    BR,
    Zain

      Zain,

Humanitarian paroles are sometimes requested by Congressional offices for unusual situations of an extraordinary nature. Two I know of involved a widow of a military husband and an Afghan refugee mother of a large family already in the States. Based on your description of your mom's situation, I wouldn't expect a Congressional office to be very aggressive in providing you help.

Sorry, there is nothing that can be done to bring your mother to the US.

You will have to choose to live in the US until you can apply for citizenship or you can choose to give up your green card to return home.
