Hi All,
I was wondering if someone may be able to help me with my query.
I grew up in California as my parents were there with work visas. They applied for green cards which were approved but we had to leave the USA in 2001 to go back to the UK for emergency family reasons before they arrived.
We ended up staying here permanently.
My younger brother is a US citizen (born in LA). When he turned 18 I began my permanent resident application and have an approved I-130 and waiting for my F4 priority date (in 12 years!!).
My question is are my parent's green cards recoverable? If so how do we go about this and is there an alternative option for me to get mine by using this?
I have contacted USCIS and I have literally never had to deal with anyone less helpful!!!
