Hi,
My sister is our petitioner. She had filed her I-864 but omitted the financial info and stated in the form that she is retired and hence could the NVC accept another sister as a sponsor. My second sister had provided her Tax Return and sent an I-864A. All the information was passed on to the London embassy.
At the interview recently they said that my petitioning sister must provide an I-864 and her tax return. However, her husband is refusing to provide the financial information required for I-864. She is retired and they file a joint tax return. They also asked that my second sister provide an I-864 instead of the I-864A as they don't live together.
What do we do now? Can we explain the matter to the embassy and will they accept my second sister as our only sponsor?
Would appreciate your help.
