My mother has to undergo a hip replacement surgery next week and is therefore unable to attend her GC interview for the spousal visa at the US consulate in India in the first week of August. Can someone guide me as to the exact procedure to re-schedule the interview?
I know they give a re-scheduled date at their discretion/availability but we'd typically prefer something atleast 3 months down the line, but not as far as a year or something. Do we have to write an email to someone? And what exactly should we mention in the email (preferred dates, etc?)
I'm worried because I think we can re-schedule the interview only one time, so don't want to mess anything up.
