What happens if my brother's company decides to sponsor him while a I-130 is filled?

I want to sponsor my brother and I know it takes years for him to get a green card, but his company *may* decide to transfer him to the US and sponsor his green card. What would happen in that case? Would he have issues because an I-130 has already been filled? or could we remove that Family member petition and let his company sponsor him?
