It has been 7 days since the Chicago Lockbox received our application, and we still have not received a receipt number or any notifications.

Just curious how long have you waited to receive a receipt number for recent filings?

The Notice of Action or 797c takes appx 10-14 days.

I am in the same boat. I have not received any email/text yet from USCIS. I filed the G-1145 form and the the application was delivered to Chiacgo lockbox about a week back.
I am getting a bit worried now since I haven't received any communication yet.

Waiting for Receipt Number

I received an email 9 days after they received the application and the I-797 letter 7 days after the email, every case is different just try not stress yourself

I mailed it to lockbox by regular mail on 13th July (Wednesday).
Got the textmsg and e-mail receipt on 20th July.
Got I-797C Notice of Action by US mail on 25th July with a priority date on it.
If all documentation satisfies them and they have no queries my guess is it does'nt take long.

I called USCIS today and was told by a customer service rep that USCIS has 10 days to assign receipt numbers. I was told that I needed to speak to an IO. About 2 hours later, an IO returned my phone call and he was able to give me all of our receipt numbers over the phone. He was extremely kind and by far the most pleasant person that I have spoken to at USCIS yet. He also told me that the Notice of Action was mailed today, and that the biometrics letter would follow in a couple days.

Did you do you biometric ? We mailed the same day and received the receipts. The same day; I did FP last month and still waiting...

We are now at day 15 and still have not received ours in the mail. I called USCIS and they are now telling us that they have 30 days to get the document to us. The IO told us on Friday that the Notices were already in the mail, so really not sure what is taking so long now.

Thanks! I tried checking the case status on all of our receipt numbers, but unfortunately a validation error keeps coming up. The rep I spoke to said it could be 30-40 days before I would be able to check the status of our cases online.
