Requesting your help, I went for a green card interview for me and my son (I am a single mom) (sponsored by my father) after 7 years in UAE, after my priority date was completed. I submitted all my documents which were accepted. They accepted passport and put EMPOST tickets - all looked good, we were happy! Then we waited 5 hours for an interview, around 12pm, they called us and said my father didn't meet DOMICILE criteria (my father who has a green card has a travel permit and is staying in UAE to go back when we go back he will as well, he has got residence in US, paid taxes every year - in essence we CAN prove he meets domicile. They gave us the refusal letter but didn't tell us how we provide these documents of evidence back to them, no pink blue or any colored sheet. My question is :
1) has anyone had this experience? sending documents has an opportunity to turn the decision again?
2) how do you contact the embassy to present these documents (evidence of domicile) so we can evaluated again?
Any help you can provide would be so much appreciated, I am terribly sad and want to get ahead of this situation.
