Selective Service Registration: Don't have a social security number yet

Hi, it has been about 2 months since I first arrived in US and I haven't received my Social Security number yet. According to the instructions, I was supposed to register for Selective Service within a month after I arrived in US. I tried to call them but I was asked for Social Security Number as well before talking to a real person. What should I do? Thank you in advance!

Go to an SSA office and apply for an SSN. They don't always show up when applied for before visa is issued.
