  • Family Based Greencard - Marriage Cert

    Hello:

I and my wife are US Citizens and we are filing my in-laws green card.

It is my understanding that I am able to file the below documents concurrently

    1. I-130

    2. I-485

    3. I-130

My mother in law is here in the US and my father in law will be joining shortly.

I am seeing that I need to submit

My wifes' birth certificate, and also there was something regarding in-laws marriage certificate.

However, my inlaws were married long back and marriage certificate is not available.

Also, I was reading that marriage certificate is only reqd with father in laws I130 petition and not with mothers. So I was thinking of doing my motherinlaw Green Card minus the marriage certificate and then submit the marriage certificate with my fatherinlaw's GC when he joins later.

Please tell me if this is doable. Also, if any of the documents like birth or marriage or both certificates are not in English but local India language, then what is the process, do they need any translation of this?

Also, I can file !-130, I-485, I131 (Advance Parole) together, correct?

    Thanks And Best Regards,

    SP
