Family based immigration - death of grean card sponsor

My dad's brother applied for family green card for us 20 years back. But my dad's brother passed away around 11 years ago. We don't have any kind of receipt number or any details regarding the application status. I would like to know how we can inquire about the status of our application and how we can take the case forward to successfully get a GC
