Help ! GC holder bringing spouse to us

Hello everyone....

I am going to get married in my country. I am a GC holder and wish to sponsor my spouse. I need to know the exact process. Please help me with that.

My understanding is that I will have to file I-130 after marriage as soon as I will get here. But don't know the exact process.

So when I will file i-130 what will happen ?
will I need to send my spouse some documents ?
Or what documents will need ?

Can someone please explain the whole timeline and process as events take place.

And any tips will be highly appreciated.. :-)

Hi,

You would fill out for I-130, G-325a, and G-1145.
The supporting documents you will need are copies of your permanent resident documents, marriage certificates, passport type photos of the spouse you are sponsoring, and immigration fees in the form of a check or money order.

Since you are not a US citizen the entire process will take 2 years.

So Do I need to send any documents to her ? or does she needs to take any documents with her for the interview...

I really need to know the whole timeline and how the whole process takes place in 2 years.... Thanks

Follow Fidora's suggestions. As complete Petition Application:

- You will Fill Petition Form I-130,- your G-325A (as u r not a Citizen of USA) & Form G-1145 for application intimation.
- Your spouse will only Fill out Form G-325A and Sign.
-your Passport Photo and one Passport Photo of your Spouse (Write respective Names at the back with Pencil / or non smudgy felt pen)
-Copy of your Greencard - Front and Back / Copy of your Passport Pages
- you will need your Spouses Copy of Birth Certificate and Copies of Spouses Passport Pages.
-you will send [COPIES ONLY] Marriage Proof- Marriage Registration Certificate,Marriage Photos,and affidavits of Two Family friends who witnessed the marriage,Copy of wedding invitation
-other proofs like your Phone Logs, Parcels Receipts,Courier or Mail..etc etc to show and establish that yours is a Valid Relationship...
-Money Order $420 as Fee. Send to Chicago Lockbox address for respective States from where you live.
-Also Check the Current Version of Forms Valid at respective Time of Application. Send ONLY COPIES - NO Originals.
