I'm the petitioner and ran into some question when filling the I-864 for my wife's case.
I got confuse when filling out part 6, here's a little info about me: I was a student in a University for the last 3 years (2013, 2014, and 2015). My income as part time worker does not meet the minimum filing amount for tax return, so I didn't file. I joined the military in early 2016 and now my annual salary will be sufficient for household size of 2 when compare to the poverty guidelines.
In PART 6 item 2 & 15 I put my current annual income which is 22k excluding any other non-taxable entitlements.
In item 18 I marked No because I didn't filed any tax return for the last 3 tax years.
FOR 19a. - 19c. Do I just leave them blank because I didn't file any tax return? My Income for that 3 year was not 0 but didn't meet the minimum amount to be filed either.
FOR 20 I supposed I mark this item and attach my W-2 from the last 3 years as evidence for not required to file?
DO I need to fill out Part 7 since I do not have sufficient numbers in 19a. - 19c. of Part 6?
Will a Joint Sponsor will make the case more solid in my situation?
