Green Card

Upon my arrival at US port of entry as a permanent resident i was not taken to a room but was interviewed by an officer at the counter and given the welcome letter from the package and also the disc xray. I was told i will recieve the green card in the mail. Was that the proper procedure. Everyone I spoke with told me they were taken to a room and processed.

It depends on the airport at which you arrive, and workload of officers on duty.

- same thing happened to my husband. Did you receive your green card?

My husband's arrival was april 22,2016 but until now there's no green card received. Only the ssn and cali id was issued by october2016
