Please listen to my story,
We were married in 2012, purely out of love, we even had a big wedding , however, the marriage wasn't going well a couple of months later after he lost his job and turned to alcoholism and at some point,
drugs abusing. He began to get quite physically and verbally abusive but
I didn't call the police . I had to support us a couple of months until
summer 2013, I had to bring him to the hospital due to jaundice. I
helped however I can and took him to a few rehabs which he always ended
up leaving with excuses, especially everytime I mentioned about divorce. I applied for my green card quite late, summer 2013 or so , the reason was
just because I had faith in our marriage and was in love, I couldn't care less for a green card. Now I have a 2 year green card, I had to work out of
Washington to support myself and when it was expired, I thought that was time to get a divorce but he still didn't want to. I filed in I-751, and
they are now requiring more documentation like joint accounts or
something to prove that our marriage was in good faith, we don't have
any joint accounts. By December 16th, 2016, if I failed to send in proofs
of joints accounts, my green card will be terminated and of course,
deportation. I really need an expert's help and want to know what my
options are, to see if I could still do something to save my immigration status. Thank you for your time.
