  • Applying Greencard for mother. I-130 Questions.

    Hello All,

I am in a unique situation and tried to search these forums for answers to few questions but could not find them. I am posting this to get some guidance regarding the same. I will really appreciate any responses for below.

My Sister is a naturalized citizen of the US and she is applying for my mother's the Greencard via the I-130 petition. She lives in Chicago, IL.
My Mother is a widow (father passed away couple of years back).
My Mother is currently in the US on a visitor's visa. She is staying currently with me in San Jose, CA.
My Mother is currently un-able to travel to Chicago, IL and would like to apply for the adjustment of status (and take the interview if any) at San Jose, CA USCIS office.

Given above, we are confused what to fill for the following:

Question1 : In Form I-130, C 2, do we provide my San Jose, CA address or my sisters Chicago, IL address.

Question2 : In Form I-130, C 18, do we provide my sisters Chicago, IL address since she is applying for my mother (and my mother eventually would live there)

Question 3: In Form I-130, C 22, can we give the USCIS office as San Jose, CA. Will this cause issues to my mothers petition getting approved.

    Thanks a lot.

    -Chiru
