Here's my situation: I am a Canadian citizen and I applied for a GC this April and my wife (American citizen) petitioned for me. When I applied I listed her parents address as my residence which is in Newark, NJ. However the field office in her county is backed up to last year of October in reviewing the applications, which means that it could take another 6 months to review my application. My wife and I moved into my uncle's house who is my financial affidavit as my wife is still a student and does not have enough income. As it turns out, my uncle's county is much quicker at processing the applications. In fact, they're reviewing applications from April 3rd of this year.. which means that I could potentially have my application reviewed in a few weeks.
Here's my question: Would this be a disadvantage for my application? As in, would it delay my application transfering from one field office to another? And another more important question is that.. would it look bad that my listed address is different from my wife's address? Because it may appear that her and I have separate addresses, or would they not even notice or care at all?
