GC Approved- Options for Indian citizen spouse to come to US

Hi guys,

I just received approval on employment based GC . I would like to marry someone from India. The potential alliance is working in India.
I understand that there is a backlog of minimum 2 years if I file for sponsorship.
Are there any other options that could help to have my potential spouse to come to US after marriage without delay?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Uh oh, you just missed the window of opportunity. If you had gotten married before your GC is approved, your spouse would be able to immigrate immediately as your derivative beneficiary. But if you marry after your GC is approved, you would have to petition your spouse as the spouse of a permanent resident, which has a wait for visa numbers of around 1.5 - 2 years. There is no good way for the spouse to come sooner. The spouse can try to visit for short periods but even that has a decent chance of denial.
