Help with bringing husband

I have few questions. I recently got maried and my husband is in another country and I am in the U.S. I am a U.S.citizen. I have been advised to file to bring my husband to U.S. by filing form I 130, here in U.S.
My question is how long does it usually take until my husband is here, is it better (and possible) for my husband to file over there or should I do it here.
And also, I would appreciate any info as to what the procedure may involve, if anybody had similar experience, please help!Thanks.

It takes about 1 year if your husband waits in his home country while the green card is in process.

It takes about 3-4 years if he tries to come here first.

i GOT MARRIED TO A US CITICEN AND MY LAWYER TOLD ME I HAD TO LEAVE USA IN ORDER TO COME BACK LEGALLY, SO I DID AND I HAVE BEEN AWAY FOR 7 MONTHS NOW, AT THIS TIME i AM WAITING TO COME BACK BUT I AM WAITING FOR MY APPOINMENT IN JUAREZ AND I HAVEN HEARD FROM IT YET SO, IT IS TAKING TIME! BUT NOT MORE THAN A YEAR
