  • Visa Bulletin, How to read the dates for F2A category?

What is the difference between "A. FINAL ACTION DATES FOR FAMILY-SPONSORED PREFERENCE CASES" and "B. DATES FOR FILING FAMILY-SPONSORED VISA APPLICATIONS" ?

I would like more so about the F2A for spouse. For eg. India has 2 different dates for the same category... so would like how does these 2 tables differ...

    Please help!

Are you doing Consular Processing abroad or Adjustment of Status in the US?

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

This would be for my fiancee who is abroad. She does NOT have any US Visa.

      I am on GC.

Since she is doing consular processing abroad, there is nothing she can do except wait to be contacted anyway. NVC should be starting the consular processing process when it gets to Date for Filing.

So which table to consider, like A or B ? They have 2 tables with F2A out there on visa bulletin.

They will probably start the process when the date in Chart B reaches your priority date, but this is something they do and there is nothing you can do about it.

They will not actually issue the immigrant visa until the date in Chart A reaches your priority date.
