I have a question, my mother is an immigrant and me, the daughter, is an US citizen. I filed an I-130 petition for alien relative under section Parent of a US citizen. There is a problem, do I have to fill out the I-864 if I don't have a job nor an income of any kind as I am still in college. I can't just get a job as I am working a lot of school hours. And if I don't have an income, am I still financially responsible for her? If she gets permanent residency and she becomes disabled, I don't want to end up owing the government any money if she gets on medicaid or social security disability and then dies. And if answer becomes that I am still financially responsible for her and she falls into public charge shortly after her permanent residency, am I better off keeping her off of any government benefits until she becomes a US citizen?

If you are the petitioner, you are the primary sponsor and must submit an I-864 sponsorship package. You can utilize a co-sponsor for an immigrant visa, if you can find a co-sponsor.

Co sponsor for I 864
Hi. My income for the previous yr (2015) ($25,011) was not sufficient for sponsoring my parents. Under poverty guideline
(4) House hold member = must have atleast $30200 annual income. Can i use my ex husband uncle/auntie as a joint sponsor bec they are willing to help me out. Since they are not blood related to me ,will they be eligible to act as my joint sponsor ?
My also concern is, on the time of interview will they ask the current (2016) w2 fed tax? My 2016 fed tax was only $ 533, and my husband was just $15800. Since i ve submitted the 2015 tax form , will my joint sponsor also need to submit their 2015 tax and w2?
Please advise...Thank you.

Your joint sponsor must provide proof of current income and employment, and copies of most recent Federal income tax return and W2's, as well as proof of U.S. status.
