Pointers before migrating to U.S.A.

I would like to know some tips on what to bring/do and what not to bring/do. We will go to the US on May 14 on Eva Air (Evergreen Deluxe Class via Taipei), we are from the Philippines. We are already warned not to bring **** items eg. clothes, and will do a conscious effort to keep all receipts w/ invoice nos. of things that we will bring. Is it okay to bring our PS2? we already lost the receipt but it's original, we will not bring the games because it is pirated.
