  • What exactly to include with I-864?

Hi all, I am new on here and gradually working my way through all the forms by reading some of the great info on here. I have a few questions, specifically for the I864. Thanks in advance for any help!

My wife is sponsoring me, and her salary is currently $48k, so would believe she is over the threshold needed.

however, being early in the year, she doesnt yet have a w2 and 2016 tax return. If she filed 2015 as her most recent return it would show that she earnt a good bit less than she does now. She tells me that for the 3 years - 2015, 2014 and 2013 here income ranged from $25k-$41k.

    So, with that in mind.

    1. Should we file all 3 years? Seems that option is up to us, when is best to include all 3 vs just the latest?
    2. Should we wait until she has the latest W2, file those taxes and submit as our most recent? Or just file 2015 as her most recent (and perhaps the preceding 2 years as per question 1).
    3. If the response to 2 is that the latter is fine.. Would there be an advantage to waiting for the new taxes?
    4. Does it matter whether she submits copies + w2s/1099s vs transcripts?

In addition to tax returns and her proof of citizenship - Is there anything else we should be including? Been looking around online, and see some vague references to pay stubs, employment letters, etc. Would any of that apply to our situation? or perhaps comes later at interview or do we get asked to provide further info later if they need it?
