A general question :
A green card holder marries an H1-B worker. Both are working in US, at same location.
The H1-B holder (wife ) has already a i-140 approved ( employment route ).
She may have to wait a couple more years to file i-485, for priority # to get current.
Would it be preferable for husband ( green card holder for more than 12 years ) to file I-130 for H1-B worker, being spouse ?
The problem is there is a waiting period in this channel also.
One possibility is for Husband to apply for citizenship and then apply for her on i-130, being immediate relative ( no waiting period ). He knows this, but is exploring alternative options without taking up citizenship.
Both are from India.
Any advise is appreciated.
