Hi I applied for green card through my wife and we interviewed on January 18th, 2017. Since we are married for 3 years so the USCIS officer just asked some basic questions about how we met and told us that our case is approved.
Strangely she mentioned that green card should arrive within 7-10 business days as the USCIS detroit office is very quick in processing. She also mentioned if in case I don't get the card in 7-10 days, I could go to USCIS office and get stamp on my passport.
Now the thing is that, I did not see any status update for my case on USCIS website and also I did not receive the approval notice I-797C form. Its been almost 3 weeks now. So I was just worried as only thing I know about my case is the verbal approval from the USCIS officer. But no paper proof or anything.
So I just wanted to know if this is normal processing time for USCIS to update the status on their website and send approval notice in like 3-4 weeks?
