Conversion from F3 Category to F2B Category with same priority date...

Hello

My grandfather file petition for our family under F3 category but I didn't get USA IMMIGRANT visa due as my age is above 21. Now my father is about to get his green card in USA and want to file the IMMIGRANT VISA PETITION for me UNDER F2B category.


IS IT POSSIBLE FOR US TO RETAINING OUR OLD PRIORITY DATE AS I HAVE IN F3 CATEGORY FOR NEWLY FILE PETITION FOR F2B CATEGORY OR NOT????

You said itself, its new petition. New petition it means new priority date. Its different case all together.

Especially you are over 21 now, even your dad file for you via f2b its going to take longer, Why don't you consult to lawyer about this. F2b visa availability is currently on 2010. Let say your father obtained his citizenship, it still does not help to speed up the proccess to sponsor you because you are over 21. and F1 visa availability is currently on 2011.
you either have some company to sponsor you or get married with USC.
