My wife is a Jordanian citizen and we have been married in KSA for five years. We have a 1 year old son. We applied for our i-130, they received it in September. According to process estimates we have a month left until it will start being processed.
I'm losing my job, probably May, maybe sooner. This puts us in a quandary. My wife has a visit visa, but it expires April 6th, 2017. The hypothetical is this: My wife wants to take our son and visit the US for a week, sometime this month, and during that time I lose my job here in Saudi. If she then decides to stay in the US, can we then complete the process there? She literally would be unable to return to Saudi to complete the process as we would no longer have residency. She has no residence or family in Jordan.
We don't know what else to do. I've emailed the embassy about an expedited scenario but have heard nothing back. If she doesn't stay in America, can we move the consular/embassy interview over to another country if that's our only option?
