Reg info for family based GC

Hello

I am in process of citizenship
Once i receive it and start the process of PR for my parents by filing I-130 /485 Petition, during the period of approval can they stay in US or do they have to go back in 6 months which is the Visitor visa stay duration.

Parents and spouse of citizens need not be in valid visa status for filing the adjustment of status petition.

So if i get it right they can be US once the process has started until we get an verdict even though they are on visitor visa and their period of stay extends 6 months.

yes and it doesn't matter if their period of stay ends before or after they apply
