  • I-130 Question

I am a US Citizen filing for my wife and needs help in answering question# 59.
It state that provide the last address at which you physically lived together. If you never lived together, type"Never lived together"

My question is I went to Pakistan and got married and completed all legal documents required by the law but we did not live together. If I write never lived together would they deny my application or they are familiar with this type of arrangement that usually people do in India and Pakistan where they do all the ceremonies and get the marriage certificate but do not live together and wait till their spouse visa is available. Please help

No USCIS doesn't go in that deep. Just put "never lived together". Also don't forget to file the G-325A for you & your spouse. Translate any documents that are not in english. Good luck!!

The G-325A is no longer required for spouses. Instead, the new version of I-130 (12 pages) and I-130A are required for a spousal immigrant visa application.

You also need proof of U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident status of petitioner.
Don't forget fee check for $535.
Copies of birth certs for each are recommended.

So when you got married in Pakistan how long were you there for. you just cant be there for one day...right. You must have been there for a week at least ( I am not including you travel time). so where did you and your wife stay after marriage was completed. If you prefer not to discuss it in the open then you can message me also.

            Thank You
