  • I 130 File from within US

If I want to file I 130 from within the US,

    1) Do I need to proof ties to Canada?
    2) If so, how? (eg keep apartment?)

I will not be on any visa at the time, will not be working in the US and will be in the country legally as a Canadian.

    Thank you.

Who is the petitioner who will file the I-130, and what is their relation to you?

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

Since you are in the US, I-130 and I-485 should be filed together. Your address should be where you currently live in the US. To answer your question, 1) no.
