Hello,
My father is a U.S. Citizen petitioner sponsoring my brother and his family for their green card and he needs to submit proof that he has re-established permanent primary residence in the US in order for the Immigrant Visa to be granted. My father is 85 years old has no real estate properties and has spent more time in our native country than in the US. Currently he is in our native country and is scheduled to come the US on April 28th.
When he comes to the US he stays with me in California which is the address we listed on the Affidavit of Support. I’m the joint sponsor.
Could you please let me know what would be the proper steps we need to take to obtain the required proofs to submit to the US consulate in our native country? Do I need to seek the help of an attorney?
Thank you,
