Do I-130 approvals expire?

Hi all. I posted a few days ago about I-864w, and after incredible advice (you know who you are!), I decided to go through with it.

My dad and I so far have filed and received approval for I-130. However, this was about a year ago. Do these approvals expire? The reason why we waited was because we were in a very difficult financial situation and couldn't afford the following forms.

No, but NVC has a habit of revoking approved petitions whose visa number are available that have been inactive for more than a year. As long as you call them at least once a year to touch it, it will stay alive.
