I-90 replacement card not approved after nearly 1 year

Hi all, I am a LPR since 2015. I have a 10 year GC because my daughter is American. Last year I got married to my gorgeous my husband, who is american. I requested a replacement card with my updated surname, went to my biometrics appointment and ever since then I am waiting. I am already 2 1/2 months over the processing time. I called twice to ask why it takes so long but the only answer I got was that the inquiry was completed, no answer as to why it takes so long. Today, when we called USCIS again, the callcenter agent gave us an email address to contact the Potomac Processing Center. We received an email back stating that my replacement card still needs to be considered. Ha?

I understand, everything is probably a bit crazy there at USCIC. But to wait a year, and god only knows how much longer, for a replacement card due to a name change? I included ALL documents and evidence.

Please you lovely people out there... Tell me, how long did you have to wait for your replacement cards ? Obviously they are backlogged but right now I can't even leave the country because my passport has been updated to my new surname, so my drivers license but my GC is still with my old name.

I don't know why it would take a long time but how long it takes doesn't really matter how long it takes. You have all the rights of a permanent resident regardless of whether you have the plastic card or not. Once I-90 is filed, you can go in to get an I-551 stamp on your passport. The plastic green card is also just an I-551, and different I-551s are equivalent in every way. There is no reason you "can't leave the country".
