  • Interview notice not received - Houston

My green card marriage based interview has been scheduled for next week as per the mycasestatus, however I still did not get the interview notice with details and time.
I submitted a infopass and they said I should expect an answer by May 31, date after the interview.

Not sure what to do now.

I might be able to get the address with other friends who already did the interview, should me and my husband just show up there at 7am and see what time out interview is?

    Anyone had any similar experience?
    thank you.

Hi, per the status check on uscis.gov it states to go to uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. Have you done that already? If you have also try calling immigration per the phone number that is 1-800-375-5283. Make sure you have the receipt that they mailed you when you initially filed so you can give them the information they ask you for. I hope this helps.

I'm a Houston filer too and my interview is tomorrow morning. I'll post how it goes. 😆

I hope you get your notice or are able to get a copy.

    Best wishes to you.

        Hey,
I went to my interview. I've gone and posted my experience in the Adjustment of status section of the forum. Look for my user name bivaniaro so you can read it. It didn't go as I planned but it wasn't a denial either. Long story short, the immigration officer needs to review my file more before making a decision.

I saw your post. No worries, you'll be fine, it is just for some understanding of the officer and need to review it more carefully before approve it. I'm sure you'll get an answer soon

I called the number you gave me and I was able to speak with someone who will fax my letter tomorrow.

Thank you so much for your help and keep positive thinking and everything will be alright

That's great! I'm so glad you were able to get someone on the phone. I hope and wish all goes well for you.

And thank you for your encouraging words, they mean a lot. I really do hope it works out. Right now I need to renew my work permit as it expires at the end of July. I didn't do it earlier because i thought everything was going t work out. Good thing is that to renew it, it's free.

Please let me know how your interview goes. Thank you again, I wish you all the best!

Hey, I wanted to up date you that my Adjustment of Status got APPROVED!!! The date of approval is 5/31/2017! I'm so happy now that I don't have to worry so much about renewing my drivers license and work permit every 18 months. And also that I can now travel and visit my husbands family in another country from where I'm from. What a relief feeling a weight of my shoulders for 20+ years. Yay!
By the way did you ever get your notice? How did the interview go?

              Best wishes,

              B.Ro
