Hi -
I'm a US citizen. I am planning to sponsor my brother who is already in the US working on H1B visa.
In the documents list mentioned here https://www.uscis.gov/family/family-...nent-residents it says that we need a birth certificate for my brother to prove our common parents, we have a birth certificate for my brother, but his name is not mentioned (because they dont decide a name when the baby is born) in it but father and mother names are mentioned. SO I guess we have to go the office in India to get a new birth certificate with his name.
Instead of the birth certificate of my brother, can I provide his India passport which has his father's name and mother's name? and I can provide my birth certificate and US passport to prove the common parents names.
Please let me know if that is sufficient. Thanks.
