    Marie 71,

Its not as bad as you think...cheer up.. Do what is called a Motion to Reopen which is simply you writing Immigration and telling them that you didn't attend because you didn't get a letter and that you're requesting a new date. You will have to attach proof that you have been requesting updates ..hopefully you had sent written requests and they responded and you have proof of that. Also be careful that you had not changed addresses and din't notify USCIS IN WRITING. Your statement of the facts will have to be notarized. If you can afford it, use an attorney to prepapre one for you or go to one of those services that offer immigration help. Its simple but takes acertain format. But move on it quickly!!!!

Thank you Curiousone for your answer , I did file a motion to reopen the case on April 28 ,2006 with the evidence I had to prove my case , Thank God they sent me another interview letter 2 weeks later. But I had to pay 385 dollars and fill the I 290B.
