I am a US citizen and filed I-130 for my unmarried daughter (age over 21) under F-1 preference category. It will be a 6-7 years before her PD gets current. What happens if she marries in the meantime? Does she retain her F1 category or get relegated to F3 which would mean an even longer wait time?
She is currently in US on a H1 visa so is it advisable to simultaneously file for employment based GC also, so which ever comes earlier? Will it affect her F-1 preference petition that is already sitting in the queue?
