Sponsering Greencard to Sister

Hello everyone,

I am a US citizen and would like to apply green card for my sister who is in India now. I found the waiting period can be more than 10-15 years until she get greencard. My question is during this 10-15 year period can she come here on employment visa like (H1)?I read in one place there may be chance to deny green card application if she applied for any other visa like H1. Is that true? Please advice me.

H1b can have immigrant intent, so it should not be affected. However, other types of visas may be affected.
