Hi Everyone,
My story is:
- I am an F1 student on OPT-STEM
- My wife is a US citizen, we got married in July 2016
- We filed i485 and i130 a few days after the wedding
- We had the interview in June 2017 and the officer said he has no doubt about the bona fide marriage
- Because I had left the country on my F1 visa for work, the petition (i130) was approved, but I was told I have to file the I485 again
- I filed the i485 again in July 2017 and had the biometrics on August 15th
I would like to know if anyone had a similar situation and what should I expect next. Is another interview required?
The first time it took 8 months to receive the biometrics appointment, but this time it took only two weeks.
Should I believe that I won't have to wait 8 months again, and that I should have the interview within a month?
