Hi Everyone,
I am posting to ask if an American embassy can be trusted as stable and reliable in a country going through a crisis.
I am an American citizen, and my husband is a dual citizen of Venezuela and Colombia. My stepdaughter is living in Venezuela which is extremely unstable at the moment. I will petition for her with an i-130 and didn't know if I could expect normal processing in the American embassy in Venezuela? or if maybe there was a possibility that the embassy could close because of the country's problems? Would it be a better idea for my husband to nationalize my stepdaughter as a Colombian and then proceed with the i-130 though the American embassy in Colombia?
Thank you so much. This will be a big help.
