  • How to start GC process when the sponsor depends on the applicant?

    Hi all,

My wife is a naturalised US citizen and she is not currently working, I am on an L1-B visa making about 4x the poverty line (for a family of four).

She is my dependent but at the same time my sponsor? is it possible to apply for a GC? would it be harder?

    Thanks!

It's fine. Your income can be counted as part of her household income, as you are the intending immigrant and you are working legally in the US, and your income can continue after immigrating.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

Hi, could you please see my question?
If today I send my AOS, is it necessary that my EAD is current? I am the beneficiary residing in the United States, and my son, USC by birth, over 21, a student still, without income, may I be own sponsor? Currently, expired my EAD
        thanks
