How to start GC process when the sponsor depends on the applicant?

Hi all,

My wife is a naturalised US citizen and she is not currently working, I am on an L1-B visa making about 4x the poverty line (for a family of four).

She is my dependent but at the same time my sponsor? is it possible to apply for a GC? would it be harder?
