Checklist to petition for Mom

Hello,

I am a 20 yr old US citizen wishing to petition my mother from the Philippines. I am turning 21 early next year so I am preparing requirements to start my petition process the day after my birthday. I have been looking around and it seems like I need to submit a I-130 form, a copy of my birth certificate and passport, and a form I-864. Will I need to send those at once? Is there anything else that I am missing besides those requirements? Also, what are your thoughts on hiring a lawyer to process the petition?
